– The Best New Online E-Commerce Store – The Best New Online E-Commerce Store

A few years ago I wrote a silly little thing, took a photo of it, and posted it on Facebook. This is what I wrote and it may have led to – The best new online e-commerce store.

The Beatles To-Do List

Fans of The Beatles will (or at least bloody should) recognize that these are the lyrics of A Day In The Life. I posted it on Facebook and got quite a few ‘likes’. Always one to go fishing for more likes and validation in my life, I decided to start writing more. I probably came up with about 20 or so song lyrics that could be tweaked into a to-do list.

Then, I ran out of songs and… well, stopped doing them.

A Slow Fall Into E-Commerce

Things moved on and life carried on, and as you can see or already know, I moved out to Thailand several years ago to begin a new and sweaty life. Now, obviously I could dine out on just my charm and good looks for the rest of my life but I need to make some kind of living and the world of E-commerce seemed like a good way to go.

Initially, I tried to sell via Amazon FBA, but one issue after another soon turned that possibility into a non-starter. I will never forgive Jeff Bezos for the fact he cost me money and time. This kind of deal with it a bit – Amazon FBA Headaches

Basically, if I can give any advice for anyone trying to set up and Amazon FBA business is to read everything you can before starting. I jumped in without finding out what was required. It was frustrating but a good lesson.

A List Of Potential Possibilities

I began searching for the next plan to become the kind of person that drinks champagne on private jets (aim high). I watched countless videos on YouTube of how this or that person made $40,000 in one week by working 2 hours or how they “just did this” and instantly retired at the age of 22. Most of that…… is utter bullshit (what a surprise!!)

Then I started researching Shopify stores, and more specifically, Print On Demand stores. The possibility of not holding or shipping stock and just come up with ideas and marketing seemed like a good avenue to pursue.

I’ve made mistakes, and I’ve sometimes put off doing certain things in sudden bouts of fear of the unknown, but I finally have an online e-commerce store. It’s no the finished article, and I have a long way to go, but I’m finally a little bit proud of what I’ve done so far.

If you’d told me a couple of years ago that I would have built my own website, I probably would have assumed you were either mental or we’d entered a parallel universe. But that is exactly where I find myself.

To-Do Or Not To-Do? There Is No Question

That heading above is one of the ‘taglines’ I’m using for the site. As I say, I’m on a learning curve and things are likely to get very steep. I have lists from songs such as The Beatles, David Bowie, Oasis, and movies such as Jaws.

Yes, who would have thought you’d ever need or want a bag with a Jaws-inspired to-do list on it! That’s what people will find on the best new online e-commerce store! Well, top 10 at least šŸ™‚

  1. Good for you!!! I’m so happy for you! Did you do your legal homework? I wouldn’t want you getting sued for copyright infringement by some Hollywood motion picture company or Paul McCartney. I’m pretty sure we little people always lose. Also, glad the mug doesn’t say, “Have a smoke.” Wouldn’t want you to get sued by someone who gets lung cancer and convinces a court your persuasive cup was partly responsible!

    1. Thanks and I’m 99% sure I’m on the right side of the law. Famous last words. Most of the quotes I’m using aren’t direct ones and are slightly different (wake up, get out of bed rather than woke up got out of bed). On the website I’m clearly saying that this is, for example ‘The Beatles Collection’. I think the fact I’m not claiming them as my own ‘lyrics’ I should be ok. I will keep looking into it but some areas are a bit vague and I see so many t-shirts where people have literally just written ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ and stick it on a t-shirt website.

    2. But now Iā€™m stressing šŸ˜°šŸ˜„

Clever! But Travel is right, check the legality. Iā€™d hate to start a GoFundMe for your bail.

  3. I honestly hope you don’t have to take time out to start a GoFundMe but as I have written above, I think I’m covered. Thanks for flagging this though and I will keep looking into it.
